Oyster Social: Billion Oyster Project June 26th

Join us for an intimate evening celebrating New York's most storied shellfish. Oceana is proud to partner with the Billion Oyster Project for a special Oyster Social in our bar room, featuring a curated tasting menu of local oysters paired with handcrafted cocktails.

This seated tasting includes a half-dozen local oysters from Island Creek Oysters prepared in three different ways. Each course will be paired with wine or a signature Culch Vodka cocktail.

Throughout the evening our hosts from Billion Oyster Project, Oceana, and sponsors will discuss the pairings along with the oyster’s historical and ecological role in New York City. Guests will also hear an overview of Billion Oyster Project's recent work, Oceana’s  role in our Shell Recycling Program, and find new ways to get involved on the waterfront in 2026.

The Billion Oyster Project is a New York City nonprofit on a mission to restore one billion live oysters to New York Harbor. Through hands-on education programs rooted in real ecological restoration, they engage tens of thousands of students and volunteers each year in rebuilding the oyster reefs that once defined our coastline. Every oyster you enjoy that evening is part of a larger story of revival.

A portion of proceeds from this event will benefit the Billion Oyster Project and their ongoing restoration work in New York Harbor.
