Greenmarket Tour & Cooking Class

As we head into the final days of summer, join Executive Chef Bill Telepan for a Saturday morning excursion to New York City’s beloved Union Square Greenmarket, followed by an interactive hands-on cooking class in Oceana’s world-class kitchen.

Meet up with Chef Bill in Union Square, where you’ll explore the Greenmarket as a group, engaging with the local growers and farmers that Oceana buys from each week. As one of the City’s first and most passionate proponents of greenmarket cooking, Chef Bill will share with you his insights and expertise as he selects fresh ingredients for the day’s meal.

Once the shopping bags are full, the group will return to Oceana together to prepare and enjoy a family-style lunch. Work side-by-side in the kitchen with Chef Bill as he guides you through the preparation of each dish, demonstrating the tricks of his trade along the way. The menu will be determined by what’s available at the market that morning, so get ready to be inspired and eat fresh!

Take a seat at Oceana’s raw bar to experience a one-of-a-kind 14-course tasting menu created by Executive Chef Bill Telepan. This intimate Oceana experience offers guests a chance to interact with Chef Bill as they enjoy a variety of unique, off-menu dishes.

Summer Greenmarket Menu

Friday & Saturday evenings beginning June 21, 2019

Now that the summer markets are bursting with seasonal produce and fresh fish, Chef Bill will offer his Summer Greenmarket Menu for the first time at Oceana. Featuring only the best ingredients from local purveyors, this 3-course dinner menu will be ever-changing, relying on what’s available at the market each week. Seasonal menus don’t get any fresher than this, so book your table now!

Summer is in full swing and our lobsters are on a roll! Swing by Oceana while the weather is fine and grab a great meal-on-the-go from our Lobster Cart. All summer long we’ll be outside in the breezeway (on the western side of the restaurant) serving up lobster rolls every weekday from 11:30am to 3pm.

City Harvest BID 2019

This year’s walk-around tasting event will include entertainment as well as silent and live auctions, all in support of City Harvest‘s efforts to feed New Yorkers in need.
